Elvish Yadav is 26 years social media influencer. He gain popularity from the youtube video and he is in spotlight after the winning of Bigg Boss OTT S2. But after November 203, his fame getting affected. A FIR was lodged at Noida Sector 49 police station agaist Elvish Yadav for selling of snake venom and selling drugs in parties.
The Accusation
The main allegation against Elvish Yadav is procuring and selling of Snake Venon for use at wild parties. Snake venom is a lethal substance, it is not for used in parties as a entertaining drugs. People get pleasure when neurotoxin binding the brain receptors and mesmerizing and sedative effect. The use of snake venom as entertaining drugs in parties is very dangerous and overdose can lead the life.
In November BJP leader Maneka Gandhi and his NGO People for Animals lodge FIR against Mr. Yadav under the provision of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 Indian Penal Code Section 120B, 284 and 289. A charge under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance act has also added.
Elvish Yadav’s Defense
Initially, Elvish Yadav denied involving the selling Snake Venom. He said that he has made video with snake for adventurous content and snake was obtained proper legal way and he also added that snake venom is dangerous substance and he don’t know it is use for entertainment purpose.
Present Status of Case
On November 2023, Five people were arrested along with 9 snake and snake venom and Elvish Yadav was not present in the party. All arrested people are closed to Mr Yadav. On 17 Mar 24, Elvish was called for investigation but he is not cooperating and hiding information during interrogation and he was arrested on the same day. Mr Yadav was summon in the special court and sent to jail for 14 days. Presently, Mr Yadav and his associates were in Luksar Jail in Greater Noida.
All the accused were arrested by a team of Sector 20 police station and now case has been shifted to sector 20 from sector 49 police stations. The investigation police said that they had collected some sample of venom during investigation and send for forensic.
Last Line
The ongoing case needs to be transparency. If Mr Yadav found guilty, he must be face the consequences. People should be educated about the Snake venom and how it is dangerous and extraction of Snake venom is an illegal activities. All the social media influencer themselves need to take responsibilities for creating content and not to add such content for views. The Elvish Yadav case is a slate for many new influencer.
