He was charged in 2002 with hitting a group of people who were sleeping on a Mumbai pavement by his car, causing one person’s death and others injuries.  He was first convicted and given a five-year prison sentence but the Bombay High Court later overturned that decision in 2015 due to insufficient evidence.

·      Blackduck Poaching case

While filming “Hum Saath Saath Hain” in Rajasthan in 1998, Salman Khan was charged with taking part in the blackbuck poaching case. He and a few of his co-stars were charged with blackbuck hunting. He was found guilty in 2018 and given a five-year prison term. He was, however, given bail not long after his conviction.
